Wii Heroes
Killer 7 was a unique game released for GameCube and PS2. It employed cell shaded graphics and psychological action. The creators of that unique title have now reveled a new project called “Heroes” which will only be released on Nintendo’s Wii (for now .. at least). The graphical style has improved from killer 7; which appears as cell-shading for adults with darker shadows and glow, more detailed shadow variation is visible in the trailer. The art style and action is real cool, although no real gameplay has been released, but from their track record this would a killer game.

YouOS – The web 2.0 operating system
Everyone love Web 2.0 sites. As they are more apps than sites, offering radical speeds (gmail.com being prime example) and social interactivity (del.icio.us, digg, youtube anyone). Google has released all sorts of Web 2.0 apps that you cannot even count on your finger tips. But what I saw today was far beyond any other site. Its not a site but an Operating system on a website.
It is made by MIT students. It features windows type graphical interface. What it can be termed functionality wise is that it is a combination of different web 2.0 apps in one place. Email, RSS reader, browser (???), notepad etc. There are about 200 apps now ready by users on this site. Whatever you install on your account becomes a part of your OS.
It is a very interesting concept, easy to develop for and maybe what Web 2.0 lacks right now is synergy into collective tools at one place which YouOS aims to provide.

Mirror mirror on the wall
Talking mirrors are something from fairy tales, but can high tech mirrors be high tech enough to tell that your ass looks fat in that new dress? Well maybe not, but this mirror can keep an eye on your house’s security. The “Magic Message Mirror,” aside from being a decoration of stunning novelty, doubles as a security monitor in which Basil, your on-screen tipster, gives you the low-down on what’s happening on your premises. The mirror is connected to a series of triggers and cameras mounted around your domicile, and when those alarms are activated the system springs to life while Basil magically appears to alert you.
hmm… I would have rather been just happy with a mirror that says “You are the most beautiful of them all”.

Infra-red Sauna
Healthmate’s sauna uses infrared technology to make your sauna-going experience all the more pleasurable. Rather than having to heat the air and have steam do all the work, the infrared heats the body directly. The company claims that within 30 minutes users can lose up to 1,000 calories. Additionally, all that warming warmth has other health benefits, including an increased blood flow that may help with things like arthritis and sprains.
Compared to regular saunas, which only eliminate three percent of body toxins, this sauna eliminates up to 20 percent of said toxins, doing so while operating at a lower temperature. It’s made from spruce or cedar and costs only about 50 cents per hour to run. The single-person version costs $3,500.

Hezbollah proving their mettle
Israelis seem to be in more trouble than they thought they would be, as the rockets don’t stop firing at Israel. Their weaponry is far superior. Hezbollah is using similar olive green uniform of Israeli to confuse them further. Their tunnel networks for hiding and weapon cache have become a serious threat to ground troops. Some even compare it as Vietnam 2. Although exact loses may not be reaching media, but both sides are trying to hide casualties on their end while promoting what they have achieved. e.g. see the following claims:
Twenty Israeli soldiers have been killed and several tanks destroyed by Hezbollah, who has confirmed that 13 of its fighters have also been killed.
Israel says Hezbollahs losses are as high as 100.
Lebanon may have lost a lot of civilians, but Hezbollah till now seems well intact.

Miss Universe
Recently Miss Puerto Rico, Zuleyka Rivera has been announced as Miss Universe (which is a more prestigious title than Miss World… I never knew there were two different titles). She is just 18 years old, and that makes her the youngest Miss Universe ever.
After she was crowned she just fainted on the stage, not because of the excitement but as doctors say… she was out of breath as her dress was too tight.

US Ambassodor supports Israel openly
US Ambassador to UN, Bolton has bluntly defended Israels action against Lebanon’s Hezbollah, in an interview with CNN recently.
Bolton bristled at last week’s suggestion from Louise Arbour, the United Nations high commissioner for human rights, that Israeli leaders could be charged with war crimes.
"You know, in America, prosecutors are not supposed to threaten people in public based on press reports," said Bolton.
