Bush Humor
Certainly Bush has been one of the most controversial presidents US has ever witnessed. And the more notorious one is, the more people enjoy humor and goof-ups of such people.

Bush has got an exceptionally long list of humorous photos and videos attached to himself. You can of course find thousands of those on YouTube and Google Video (just giving you a hint of what to do on internet.. hehe). But here a few from Google Video:

And you thought keeping a goatee was cool enough!

Excel supercedes Databases
Do you use MS Excel? And a simple answer by all would be “yes”. But people try to shun away from MS Access. Even if the data doesn’t require calculations etc. e.g. adresses, accounts, inventory etc. people still store them in Excel. A little effort in Access goes a long way as compared to excel. Excel was never meant for data storage or for critical/secure data. But maybe thats my point of view since I know how to make relational databases and a useful interface with little help from VB. But not all people know that and that is why nearly “Half the world business’ data is in Excel”.
Now here is an article that doesn’t aim to degrade databases but praise the ease of spreadsheets because of which people use Excel for anything. He criticizes the design of databases and how they must be redefined to make them more “rapid development” type. A very interesting idea, anyone from Microsoft/Oracle reading this?

Eight Queens Puzzle
Was just bored, so thought of going to some puzzle sites, and this old puzzle got on my hand, see if you can find a solution:
The eight queens puzzle is the problem of putting eight chess queens on an 8×8 chessboard such that none of them is able to capture any other using the standard chess queen’s moves. The problem was originally proposed in 1848 by the chess player Max Bezzel.
The colour of the queens is meaningless in this puzzle, and any queen is assumed to be able to attack any other. Thus, a solution requires that no two queens share the same row, column, or diagonal.
And guess what there are 92 distinct solutions of the arrangement. Do try to find a solution yourself.. when fed up see the algorithm on the link below to solve the problem.

Veggies better than Low-fat diet
A low-fat diet rich in vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans has twice the cholesterol-lowering power of a conventional low-fat diet, according to a new study from the Stanford University School of Medicine.
In dining terms, a meal of spinach salad, eggs and oatmeal- carrot cookies is healthier for your heart than stir-fried lean beef and asparagus and low-fat chocolate chip cookies – even when both meals contain the same amount of saturated fat and cholesterol.

Rats can fly F22
A Florida scientist has developed a “brain” in a glass dish that is capable of flying a virtual fighter plane and could enhance medical understanding of neural disorders such as epilepsy.
The “living computer” was grown from 25,000 neurons extracted from a rat’s brain and arranged over a grid of 60 electrodes in a Petri dish. When linked up to an F-22 jet flight simulator, the brain and the simulator established a two-way connection similar to how neurons receive and interpret signals from each other to control our bodies.
Gradually the brain learnt to control the flight of the plane based on the information it received about flight conditions.
