Hezbollah hands out cash for Lebanese war victims

August 22, 2006 at 10:37 pm (Politics)

Hezbollah handed out bundles of cash on Friday to people whose homes were wrecked by Israeli bombing, consolidating the Iranian-backed group’s support among Lebanon Shiites and embarrassing the Beirut government.

“This is a very, very reasonable amount. It is not small,” said Ayman Jaber, 27, holding a wad he had just picked up from Hezbollah of $12,000 in banknotes wrapped in tissue.

And US is trying to make this just a “show-off” activity of Hezbollah to prove that they want to gain popularity. Is US serious? When will they wake up and realize that there people with real humanity in this world, everyone is not Bush-ified… who cannot think of anything except politics in every part of life.

August 22, 2006 at 3:50 pm (Uncategorized)

Its official that Japanese are crazy. One gadget after another proves that Japanese people have nearly invented everything for reasonable man and now are aiming for rest of 80% of us… the un-reasonables.

They just produced a USB-powered butt cooler. This device also doubles as a seat cushion and works by blowing “cool air onto your arse via the onboard fan.”

Remote-Controlled Human

August 22, 2006 at 7:04 am (Science)

Human Control through a remote is a disturbing thought. But that has been made somewhat possible by Japanese researchers. It is a device that stimulates “the vestibular system with a small jolt of electricity delivered just behind the ear from a small external device. A quick jolt to one side of the head makes people feel like they’re falling over, so they correct their balance by moving to one side or the other, creating a swaying type of walk. And the person must be blindfolded for the device to work, otherwise visual signals will correct for the apparent mismatch in head position”.

Scientists in Australia, Japan, and the United States are trying to develop more refined ways of stimulating the brain’s balance organ — not just to influence movement, but also to create more realistic virtual reality simulations, as well as medical prosthetics to help people with balance disorders. Hey! but when was the last time that technology was used just for good.

Sandler donates 400 PS to Israel

August 22, 2006 at 12:59 am (Games, Hardware, Humor, Politics)

Following its 34-day war with Lebanon, funny man Adam Sandler is doing his part to help out war ravaged Israel. Not only is he generously donating US $100,000 of his own money, but he’s also sending 400 PlayStations to children whose houses were damaged. Because after a war, the first thing you want to do is play some PS2 in your bombed out living room. And, what are Lebanese expecting? First aid? Atari 2600?

Motion sensing controller for PC/PS2

August 22, 2006 at 12:46 am (Console, Games, Hardware)

gyrogamepad

Classy peripheral maker eDimensional made a gyroscopic controller with a built-in rumble for the PS2 and PC. The pad is an eight way digital direction controller that features twin motors for double the vibe feedback. It has patented Virtual Reality Motion Sensing (everyone just seems to have a patent for motion sensing these days, I don’t think patents are what they used to be, everyone seems to get one for same thing with slightly different name).

Other than the technology buff behind the controller; What’s up with their AD. Seriously dude! What are you selling?
