Lara’s Crystalized Xbox
During the recent game convention in Leipzig, Germany, Lara Croft model Karima Adebibe showed up with a Swarovski-crystaled Xbox 360 in over 20 colours, with each crystal laboriously applied by hand. The value of this console is worth € 9.000 or roughly $11,000 which would feed a poor family of 8 for 1-year.

World of Warcraft, not possible on consoles?
Roughly six million addicts should be reason enough to bring World of Warcraft to the consoles. Yet, the game’s developer, Blizzard, remains hesitant. Says the company’s chief operating officer Paul Sams:
We’ve met with Microsoft, we’ve met with Sony, and we are exploring these things, but the list of challenges is long. One really big challenge is that one of the key features of a massively multiplayer game, especially WOW, is consistent and regular content updates. They require hard drive space, and there’s a finite amount of that on each of those platforms… On PC, we make it, we test it, we deploy it. On console, we could be waiting for days, because you’ve got to submit and test it. And if they don’t like something, we’ve got to go back to the drawing board.
In short: Sams thinks console gaming isn’t where it’s at. And who’s to say he’s wrong? Blizzard has been incredibly successful by sticking with the PC, a platform that ultimate gives the company more freedom, control and, well, money. But, what does he think about console gaming’s online service?
I think that Live will reign… [Microsoft] has a much longer track record and history of multiplayer gaming, and I think they absolutely will have the lead. It’s going to be excruciatingly difficult for anyone – including Sony – to take that away from Microsoft. They’re way too far ahead.

USB powered BBQ Grill
This is one hell of a mod. Using 30 USB ports spread out over five USB PCI cards, this barbeque was created. The PC is still functional, too.

Glucometer mobile
This phone, from the folks at HealthPia, is essentially a cellphone and glucometer. It will measure blood sugar levels, record and send results to yourself and others and even manage your meal plans. I think its a good step… finally a cellphone that is thinking outside the box.
I just hope there are more of such features implemented and combined in a mobile… and finally we would be able to not call it a mobile and something better like iBox… a box for everything techie.. camera, movie, audio player, health monitors, credit card, GPS tracker, net browser, portable gaming device, a security survelience monitor to track your car and home security, bluetooth home appliances remote control etc. But for the time now, a Glucometer phone will do.

Zune will cost $300
Everyone knows the hype behind Zune, the Microsoft’s iPod. But there are some price figures romaing on net of this device. As Engadget reports:
Common sense would dictate it would be at or slightly below what the iPod is asking for their device — but not above — and if TWiCE is correct with their information, the Zune will run for an on-par $299. They’re also reporting the Zune won’t allow for music purchases on the go, which kind of flies in the face of that whole “connected entertainment” thing, as well as the idea of putting WiFi in a portable, so we’re looking at it somewhat skeptically for the time being.
Pretty daunting, you must agree. So, what makes Microsoft so sure that they can still iPod lovers to Zune…. no one knows.. yet!
