Computer Gaming World is the oldest gaming magazine and just reached 25 years in age indicating that gaming became serious … when I was born hehe!
And from this point on Microsoft has taken “the” most respected magazine under its wing and it will be renamed to “Games for windows: the official magazine” (GFW for short), which is also the branded logo on games which will ship especially designed with Vista compatibility.
Moreover the first 100 issues of CGW have been scanned and are available as free download for Nostalgic fans.
Yup! thts right $200 million dollar and on just Advertising the Wii. Wii is gonna be a strong contender for sales as it launches today. According to analysts its not gonna be PS3 which is gonna be a contender for sales against Xbox360 … its gonna be Wii against Xbox 360.
As for me, I can wait for prices to go low.. and then get a Wii. I am not an Xbox or PS3 guy cause PC gaming is enough for me, Wii on other hand provides an experience that neither of the giants can provide, so PC+Wii is gonna be my combination for a nice cocktail.
Remember the iPod killer Microsoft had been working on, its finally here. It launched on Nov 14, at a price tag of $250. With a strong community behind the iPod name, zune has to outperform in many areas to even make brake-even. And for this they are putting extra compatibility features with both Xbox 360 and Windows PC. The device can not just play mp3s but share photos, music and videos between all compatible devices. There maybe even allow downloadable TV programs on zune just like Xbox 360.
88,400 PS3s were sold on first day of Launch in Japan. The sales are going strong and people seem to be so hyped in US as well where it will launch today. I think they are gonna ship 100 units to each shop, which is very low. Similarly in Japan they are taking Post-Orders i.e. people pay up then Sony manufactures and then delivers. As holiday season approaches its evident that there is gonna be a shortage of PS3s; Sony shouldn’t be this conscious and make more your units.
A Swedish magazine has some Halo 3 screenshots and interview with the designer. Well I was never amazed by Halo’s graphics, it was always about the gameplay that fascinated me. And Halo 3 seems to be no exception again. So, I wasn’t intrested in the scans of the magazine but I was intrested in the scoop.
But whats radically new. This game was a trend setter, but is it really taking the things ahead or just getting pale in its own famedom? Well right now after reading few comments from the design team I aint expecting much from them.
“We definitely have another strategy than Epic Games (Unreal series, Gears of War) when it comes to graphics. We’ll never engulf our game environments in lots of details like that. Gears of War looks absolutely fantastic, but we want to avoid compromising Halo’s unique visual style. That’s why we’re making a clean, sharp game as opposed to one with insane amount of details.” -Brian Jarrard
I don’t think that “unique”… I think that is “cheap”. People are not requesting an art style change, just add more details. Who wouldn’t love to see the Halo world in full foilage and bloom lightning.
“A lot of people ask us about bots. They think that the AI in Halo was pretty damn good, and would work well in MP as well, but it’s really not that simple. The enemies in Halo are optimized for encountering the player in large numbers. They would be a lot worse at abstract thought AI like ‘I have to defend my flag’ and so forth. In short, to create bots for Halo would be an immense undertaking, and we rather put that time into making new levels, weapons and netcode.” -Jaime Griesemer
They just keep forcing us the believe that people at Bungie are “Lazy”. Don’t think I am Halo hater, I love the game, but I hate to see it suffer due to laziness and Bungie who have earned so much from the series.

If you have seen the old PS2 ADs, you would remember how weird they were. Whirlpools of time, things getting sucked in and out and something like that with no real flow or theme. Well if you see the latest PS3 trailer well you would officially claim that Sony’s flare of creating totally flipped ADs for Playstation brand hasn’t gone away.
This new AD has a baby doll alone in a room with PS3 and the doll just starts to freak out, laugh and horrify in its own chuckles and then PS3 levitate from floor.
Well it was both weird, and well the evil side of me (thats 95% of my body fats), did enjoy the AD. But I doubt that normal humans will pour out 500 bucks after watching such ADs. So, do comment about your opinions about it.
Psycho Baby AD for PS3 @ YouTube
Well atleast Nintendo has some/a lot of sanity left and their ADs target the actual games and the how you will play the games, so if you are a Wii supporter (like me) check these out:
Just checkout the box of the much hyped “Gears of War” Collectors Edition, its so damn irresistible in its Jet Black looks:
And its not just about the box, the Collectors edition will also include:
- Destroyed Beauty, the Gears of War hardbound art book
- Bonus special features DVD, including
- An inside look at the making of Gears of War
- The “Art of Gears of War” trailer
- Gears of War: The Race to E3
Well the Famous game turned movie (yeah like that wasn’t gonna happen) is about to be released. The posters are all over from US to Taiwan. I am not even least excited, the trailers show off real bad production values I really didnt expect this from makers of “The Transporter”. I dont know why movies based on games are taken for granted to get successful with real effort from cast and producers.
And while you are at it, then watch the new trailer of DOA Movie giving you a glimpse of the storyline of the movie too @ YouTube
I had just put a flash site link to a pencil site, now if you are looking for something more useless then go to Bubblewrap site. Now who doesn’t want to blow up bubble wrap. So, just enjoy it digitally now.

You can always use an encryption software or password protection on zip/rar to protect your private files from prying eyes; but if someone tries to open them he would know that something is hidden there because of the protection you put up. Now consider a simple JPG image and your secret files are hidden inside one image. If someone opens the file, he would see that one image, but when you open it you can pull out any file from it, now how cool and protected would that be.
